In partnership with Linked by Air, CBAC is transitioning from a print publisher to a mix of print and digital publications. The new identity is a permanent placeholder whose aspect ratio always shifts to match the aspect ratio of the object it’s imprinted upon. In this way, book spines reveal the finished size of the book cover. The thickness of the mark’s lines corresponds to the page count of the book. The mark is a format, a changing image, and a clickable hotspot, and can also be read as architectural space or even as an urban plan.
